Air quality to drop in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- The National Weather Service has issued an air stagnation advisory, that will last through Thursday.
According to forecasts, strong high pressure will settle over our area, bringing an increase in trapped pollution.
Officials say smoke from wood stoves will become trapped as well, making the air quality even worse.
Authorities say people with asthma and breathing conditions should be aware of the drop in air quality.
The NOAA says that the pollutants will mostly be trapped in the valleys from Roseburg south to Jackson County.

the air stagnation always happens this time of year with weather conditions being what they are, now that you have made mention of it to those who have breathing problems, their breathing problems are going to be worse. I don't mean to be unsympatheic, but my gosh we have been burning wood since time began, and when the power goes out , nothing better than having a wood stove to cook with, heat water, and dry clothes, and keep warm. Leave our wood stoves alone, do not be like Lane County who makes you pay a fine for burning wood. And whose pocket does that fine go into.????
Another reason to live in the country.
