Firefighters find more lightning fires in Douglas County forests

ROSEBURG, Ore. - The Douglas Forest Protective Association located three additional fires Wednesday evening that were started by lightning storms earlier in the week. 

The fires, located 10 miles northeast of Canyonville, 12 miles northeast of Myrtle Creek, and 21 miles northeast of Glide were all under 1/4 of an acre in size. 

A total of 21 lightning caused fires and one human caused fire have been suppressed on DFPA protected land since Monday.
