How low will it snow in Douglas County?
This was taken Wednesday evening at the Diamond Lake turnoff. Forecasters say we could see a little of the white stuff Thursday morning.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. - A half inch of snow could fall overnight in the Roseburg area, National Weather Service forecasters said.

The snow level is forecast to fall to 500 feet, low enough to bring some snow to the valley floor, although officials say it shouldn't stick if it does.

The chance of low elevation snow will continue through the weekend, forecasters said.

"There will be a disturbance moving through the area mainly on Thursday that has a chance of dropping snow levels to near the valley floor," forecasters said. "While a few inches are possible at higher elevations, amounts will be limited at the valley floor."

Here is what the NOAA says about the Roseburg area forecast for Wednesday night/Thursday morning:

Rain showers before 10pm, then rain and snow showers likely. Snow level 1500 feet lowering to 500 feet. Low around 32. Light south southwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
