I-5 in Southern Oregon is open again, but there is still a lot of snow between the Oregon-california border and Canyonville.
I-5 was closed for several hours on Thursday, and spinouts and bad weather wreaked havoc on the Interstate.
Motorists were detoured into Canyonville Thursday afternoon, and the main route to California wasn't reopened until later Thursday evening.
Officials are reminding motorists who might be heading south today, to be prepared.
Chain requirements are in effect, and you can see what restrictions are in place all over Oregon roadways by visiting www.tripcheck.com.
