Motorcyclist killed in crash with deer on Oregon highway

SPRAY, Ore. - A motorist found a dead motorcyclist and a dead dear just before 8 a.m. Sunday on a highway outside of Spray in rural Wheeler County, Oregon State Police said.

Randall L. Upshaw of Lynnwood, Washington, died at the scene. He was wearing a protective helmet.

The 63-year-old man on his motorcycle hit the deer sometime between 7 a.m. and just before they were found by the motorist, police said.

The collision happened near the center of the road.
