Registration open for kids to attend camp
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- Kids in grades 4-6 are invited to register now for Douglas County 4-H Resident Camp.
The camp will run from June 25-27 at Camp Myrtlewood near Myrtle Point, Ore.
They say the overnight camp is designed to give youth hands-on outdoor experiences and memories to last a lifetime.
The theme is “Outback Adventure”, and officials say the camp will integrate special presentations and activities to explore the wonders of Australia, the culture, the wildlife and all its unique features.
They will also have traditional camp activities such as crafts, archery, swimming, hiking, campfire, skits, and surprise events.
The camp fee is $90, but those registering before June 1 will receive the early bird special of $75.
Campers do not need to be 4-H members to attend.
Parents will be responsible for getting campers to Roseburg High School on June 25 and picking them up on June 27.
They will be bussing the campers to Camp Myrtlewood in Bridge and back to Roseburg at the end of camp.
Registration ends June 13 and space is limited.
You can get a registration form online, or call the OSU Extension Office at 541-672-4461 for more information about registering your child.
