COOS BAY, Ore. - An intoxicated camp host chased her husband around the campground and menaced campers with a stick before deputies arrived Tuesday evening, the Coos County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies arrested Connie Bates, 53, on charges of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Domestic Menacing, Menacing and Disorderly Conduct. She was booked on $50,000 bail.

Deputies responded to Nesika County Park on North Coos River east of Coos Bay around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

They were responding to a report of the camp host being intoxicated, chasing her husband around the campground and menacing other campers with a stick, the sheriff's office said.

Jail deputies had a difficult time obtaining a mugshot of the suspect "as Ms. Bates has been to assaultive to jail staff to complete the booking process," the sheriff's office said Wednesday. A mugshot was available as of Thursday.
