By Dan Bain KPIC News

SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- Sutherlin is making it a tradition to visit the state playoffs, last year the Dogs went deep into the playoffs, just two games away from the state championship.

They lost some good athletes to graduation, but they feel they have got some good ones back, and they are excited for another run at the playoffs in a very tough Far West League.

The Bulldogs will be riding the arm of Chris Mock, who may be throwing considerably more than last year.

Some good talent returns on the line with senior Eric Gordon leading the way.

The Bulldogs got off to a slow start last year, but came on strong when it counted and finished 5-5 with two wins in the playoffs.

With a very tough league, they can't afford a slow start this year.
