CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State baseball team will enter the 2013 ranked No. 6 in the nation by Baseball America, which released its top 25 poll on Thursday. The Beavers are the highest ranked team from the Pac-12 Conference.

Oregon State, which finished 2012 ranked 24th by Baseball America, trails only No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Vanderbilt, No. 3 Arkansas, No. 4 Louisville and No. 5 Mississippi State. From the Pac-12, the Beavers are followed by No. 9 Stanford, No. 12 UCLA, No. 15 Oregon and No. 24 Arizona. San Diego, whom the Beavers will visit to close out the month of March, comes in at No. 25.

Additionally on Thursday, the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll was released and the Beavers find themselves at No. 14, 21 points behind No. 13 Florida and 22 ahead of No. 15 Kentucky. OSU finished the 2012 season ranked 22nd in the coaches poll, and in 2013, is one of six teams from the Pac-12 in the preseason poll, joining No. 2 UCLA, No. 6 Oregon, No. 7 Stanford, No. 10 Arizona and No. 20 Arizona State.

Four of the preseason top 25 rankings have been released thus far and the Beavers find themselves in the top 25 in all four and in the top 10 in three – OSU is also No. 8 by Perfect Game and 10th by Collegiate Baseball.
