Brenden Fricke - KPIC Student Athlete of the Week

GLIDE, Ore. -- The Glide Wildcats are 5-2 in the early stages of this high school baseball season, and ranked in the state's 3A top 10.

A big part of the team's success rests with junior pitcher and first baseman Brenden Fricke, who is pleased with his team's success so far.

"We're a pretty good team, we work hard for the most part, and I think we've got a solid shot at state this year," he said.

"We've got a good batting order, good lineup there, good outfield and we got a pretty solid infield too."

Although he is just a junior, he is already hoping to attend college after he graduates, whether he continues his baseball career or not.
