Docs split non-league twinbill
Roseburg's Doctor Stewarts split a non-league doubleheader with the visiting Springfield Titans on Friday.
Connor Newell and DJ McKenna each had a pair of base hits and two RBI's as the Docs upended Springfield 5-3 in game one. Righthander Tylar Blansett went four innings to earn the victory.
In game two, the Titans jumped out to a 6-0 lead and held off a late rally by Roseburg to earn a 6-4 win.
The Docs are now 2-4 on the season.
