A troubling offseason for the Oregon State football team keeps getting worse.
This time it was senior Jordan Poyer. One of the best cornerbacks in the country, Poyer was arrested Saturday around 1:52 AM.
According to Corvallis police, Poyer was arrested outside of Impulse Bar and Grill, a nightclub near campus, on a charge of criminal trespassing to the second degree.
Police say Poyer was banned from the nightclub back in February after he tried to sneak in underage. There have been reports about a bar fight that night, but Corvallis police did not comment on it.
Tuesday afternoon Poyer tweeted, "It was no bar fight, people that know me know im not like that. Big misunderstanding on what really happened, but it is what it is.."
Poyer is due in court on June 7th.
