ROSEBURG, Ore. -- After winning its fourth straight southern conference title, the Roseburg baseball team is in the final stretch of the regular season.
The indians are 18-2 overall, winning two straight after suffering their first conference loss at North Medford last week.
But the Indians rebounded with an 8-6 come-from-behind win at Crater Tuesday to clinch the confernece title.
Roseburg head coach Troy Thompson has been pleased with his team's focus and effort throughout the season. "Improve every day, every day turns into a big deal at the end of the year," Thompson said. "That's kind of the mindset we have, and hoping we can take care of ourselves and not worry too much about other people and what they're doing, and continue to work on our team and our skills. Hopefully that'll see us through the end of the series here."
Roseburg has just three games left in the regular season before marching into the class 6A playoffs.
They will travel to Eagle Point Saturday, and then finish up with a home doubleheader against Grants Pass on May 12.
