Trojans stay hot with Far West League sweep

WINSTON, Ore. -- Douglas continued its solid play in the Far West League with a doubleheader sweep over visiting Sutherlin Thursday afternoon in Winston. 

Senior Tyler Foster hit a two-run homer and finished with four hits and five RBI's as the Trojans won the opener 13-7. Blake Kennerly pitched all seven innings to earn the game one victory.

Brock Koone had three hits and a pair of RBI's to lead the Trojans (5-7, 6-15) to a 9-6 win in game two. Douglas started the league season 0-6, but has now won five of its last six games.

Sutherlin's Joey Bell was a perfect 6-for-6 in in the doubleheader as the Bulldogs (4-8, 8-13) dropped into last place in the Far West League.
