EUGENE, Ore.-- Former Oregon basketball player Drew Wiley is back in Eugene, and ready to get back on the court. This time for New Hope Christian College.

After spending the past season at Boise State, the McKenzie and Thurston High School product felt it was time to come home to finish his college basketball career.

"I mean there is nothing wrong with bouncing around," said Wiley. "I've enjoyed it, getting to see different places and stuff. I just think being here will fit us so well, I can't even argue with it. It's just such a great opportunity."

With the Broncos, Wiley averaged just under six points per game and two rebounds while averaging 18 minutes of playing time during the 2011-2012 season. He said his decision to leave had nothing to do with basketball, it was a life style change as Wiley recently got married.

"My wife wanted to see what Oregon was all about, so we decided to come back here," said Wiley. "And then a little bit about the school, I was raised and brought up Christian my whole life, and so was she. So we decided it was the best choice for both of us."

Wiley spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Oregon, and even had a few good games, scoring 18-points against Arizona and UCLA during his first year. But when Ernie Kent was fired, Wiley felt it was best to also leave.

"There was just a lot going on my sophomore year," said Wiley. "Coach Kent was getting fired, and there was just a lot of changes being made. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to stick around for that. So I just decided to go to the next best place, which was Boise at the time. And now that's here for me."

Wiley says he harbors no ill-will towards the Ducks program and still wears his green Oregon shorts to practice.

"I'll always be a Duck fan," said Wiley.
