For three seasons, Danny Pulfer and Carter Bell played in opposite sides of the field in the Civil War of baseball, now the Duck and the Beaver are both together trying to make it in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.
Pulfer and Bell are adjusting to life as professional ballplayers with the Yakima Bears of the short-season single-A Northwest League.
While Bell (29th round pick) has yet to play (The British Columbia native is waiting on his work visa), Pulfer (19th round selection) is still trying to find his way, hitting just .179 in 17-games.
Both guys left after their junior seasons because they said the opportunity to play pro ball was too good to pass up.
