(AP) - Oregon women's basketball player Micaela Cocks has spent the past several months a long way from Eugene. The junior guard has been playing for the New Zealand women's national team as they prepare for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The team recently finished a nearly two-week tour of Europe, playing six games in 10 days, and finishing with a 2-4 record. Next up is a camp in Christchurch and a home series. Then, Cocks will find out if she's one of those who has been chosen to go to Beijing. New Zealand has been drawn into Pool B for the 2008 Olympics, with its first game scheduled for August 9th, against Mali. China and the United States are also in New Zealand's pool.
