PORTLAND, Ore. - Florida was the unanimous #1 in the coach's pre-season poll but both Oregon and Oregon State did make the list.

The Ducks were slated #14, while the Beavers slipped into the poll at #25.

Texas was second in the poll released Friday, followed by Oklahoma, Southern California, Alabama, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Penn State, LSU and Mississippi. Texas had four first-place votes, and Oklahoma and Southern California each had one.

The Associated Press preseason Top 25 will be released Saturday, Aug. 22.

The Ducks opened practice on Friday with first-year head coach Chip Kelly running the show. Kelly is an offensive guru and is considered one of the best young coaches in the country. But he said don't expect big time changes - he's sticking with what works.   You can watch his comments made during a Friday press conference.
