EUGENE, Ore. -- Whichever color of feather the Ducks wear onto the Smurf turf in Boise Sept. 3 against Boise State, college football fans across the country will take note.

"The Ducks have the firepower to shake up the BCS," reads the headline on the cover of the new issue of Sports Illustrated under the heading "Party Crashers."

Even more attention grabbing: the steady stare of Ducks center Jordan Holmes below the pointed fingers of Ducks quarterback Jeremiah Masoli.

The Ducks are featured on one of four regionalized covers for the Sports Illustrated College Football Preview issue.

The other regional covers feature Ole Miss, Penn State and Oklahoma State.

SI ranks Oregon number 11 overall -- two slots behind the Duck's opponent for their Sept. 3 season opener, SI's number 9 pick Boise State.

The issue hits newstands Wednesday.
