Duck Basketball: Oregon wins Mac finale

Four Ducks scored in double figures in the win, the third in the last four games for Oregon. Freshman forward E.J. Singler had 15 points, while senior guard Tajuan Porter and sophomore forward Jeremy Jacob had 12 and 11 points, respectively. The Ducks 50.0 percent from the field (26-of-52), while limiting the Cougars to just 35.7 percent shooting (20-of-56). Klay Thompson had a game-best 22 points for WSU. DeAngelo Casto added a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. A near sell-out crowd of 8,761 watched the Ducks beat the Cougars (16-14, 7-11) to prevent a last-place finish in the Pac-10 for the second straight season. Oregon (15-15, 7-11 Pac-10) will have rematch with Washington State in next Wednesday's match-up between the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds. |
