Umpqua Valley Knights announce 2009 schedule

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- Douglas County's very own semi-pro football team has announced its 2009 season schedule. The Umpqua Valley Knights eight-game league season, includes four home dates starting with a March 28 showdown against the Oregon Monarchs. All home games will be played at South Umpqua High School in Tri City.

The Knights will also host three other regular season games, including an April 18 matchup with the High Desert Lightning. On May 2, the Rogue Warriors come to town with the final home game set for May 9 against the Oregon Outlaws.

Umpqua Valley will play in a Jamboree on February 21 in Portland before kicking off the season March 14 with a road game in Medford against the Rogue Warriors.
