Knights host annual flag football tournament
By Jason Hink, Douglas County Sports OnlineThe Umpqua Valley Knights are holding their annual flag football tournament in September. The two-day event is set for Saturday and Sunday, September 12-13 at Winston Middle School and coincides with the Melon Festival celebration. The double elimination tournament is limited to 20 teams and entry forms must be turned-in prior to Saturday's first game. The fee is $90 per team and participants must be at least 18 years old and everybody must sign a medical release waiver. The four-on-four game format consists of two, 12 minute halves and teams can have no more than six players. For more information, Call 957-9054 or send an email to uvknights@msn.com.
