Roseburg girls play for conference's top seed
By Jason Hink, Douglas County Sports OnlineThe Roseburg girls soccer team will host Sheldon in a battle for the Southwest Conference's number one spot in the 6A state playoffs. The match is set for Tuesday, November 3 at 6:30PM at Finlay Field in Roseburg. Both teams finished the regular season tied atop the conference standings with identical 7-3 records. Roseburg beat the Irish 2-1 in late September, but Sheldon won the October 20 rematch 3-0. Tuesday's winner will enter the postseason as the SWC's number one seed, while the loser will become the league's number two representative.
