CORVALLIS, Ore.-- Is it finally time to add Jacquizz Rodgers to the long list of potential Heisman Trophy winners for the season?

Rodgers had another fantastic game for the Beavers, rushing for 156 yards on 19 carries and two touchdowns, as he helped the Beavers win 48-21 over Washington, their third win in a row and their fourth victory out of the last five games.

The elder Rodgers brother, James, added two touchdown catches to his already impressive resume, and quarterback Sean Canfield threw for four touchdowns and no interceptions.

For the Huskies, this was their fourth loss in a row, and with seven losses, the Huskies are now out of a potential bowl berth.

Quarterback Jake Locker finished with three passing touchdowns in the game, but was never able to get things going on the ground. Running back Chris Polk had 115 yards rushing, but Locker and Polk's solid performances were not able to counter the Beavers' solid attack with the Rodgers brothers, Canfield throwing the football with confidence, and an aggressive Oregon State defense.

The Beavers scored the first 20 points of the game, the first touchdown being a three-yard scoring pass from Canfield to Joe Halahuni. Kicker Justin Kahut made a field goal near the end of the quarter, and after one, it was 10-0 Beavers.

It was more of the same in the second, as Kahut added a long field goal to make it 13-0, and then Canfield threw for another touchdown, this time to James Rodgers, and Oregon State held a comfortable lead at 20-0.

Washington finally got on the board near the end of the first half, when Jake Locker found a wide open Jermaine Kearse in the endzone to make it 20-7 Beavers. But with about two minutes to go until halftime, Canfield and the Beavers executed a perfect two-minute drill and it ended with a Canfield strike to Rodgers once again, and the halfitme score was 27-7 Oregon State.

In the third, Jacquizz Rodgers ran for two touchdowns to extend the OSU lead to 41-7 and gave the Beavers a marginable lead going into the final quarter.

Locker found Kearse once again in the endzone for a touchdown pass early in the fourth to cut the lead to 41-14, but once again the Beavers bounced back when Canfield threw for his fourth touchdown of the day, and the second touchdown catch by Halahuni.

The Huskies added another late touchdown to make the final score 48-21.

Next week, the Beavers (7-3, 5-2) travel to Pullman to take on the struggling Washington State Cougars. The Huskies (3-7, 2-5) don't play until November 28th, when they will host Washington State in the annual Apple Cup.
