Four Roseburg volleyball players named First-Team All-SWC
By Jason Hink, Douglas County Sports OnlineThe Southwest Conference's first-team selections in volleyball are in and they include the names of four Roseburg players. Seniors Devin and Demi Belshe were joined by juniors Bre Thomas and Kabrissa Beamer. Indians' Head Coach Bruce Myers was also named as co-Coach of the Year along with Sheldon's Kandice Feola. The title of Player of the Year was shared by Sheldon's Gabbi Parker and Casey Rose. The seniors helped lead the Irish to the SWC's regular season championship. Roseburg freshman Vanessa Bentley received second-team honors, while teammates Natalie Dwight and Lynsey Johnson were named Honorable Mention. The Indians finished second in the SWC and were eliminated in the second-round of the 6A state playoffs.
