Sutherlin marches into the 4A quarterfinals

The Bulldogs (5-5) jumped out to a 19-6 halftime advantage and then, dominated the final 24 minutes enroute to the 31-point win. With Sutherlin in control of the game and up 25-6, Kyle Jaukurri officially put the game out of reach with a 70 yard touchdown run. Next up, the Bulldogs will play the winner of Saturday's Banks-Ontario game. The Roseburg Indians run at a 6A state title came to an abrupt end after losing to fifth-ranked West Salem 42-7. Number seven Roseburg finished the season with an overall record of 8-3. Elsewhere, South Medford lost to Jesuit 41-14; and top-ranked Sheldon slipped past Aloha 26-13. |
