Competitive twin wrestlers no longer share title, they both have one
By Katie Boer KPIC NewsROSEBURG, Ore. -- Over the years Roseburg wrestlers Dylan and Devan Fors have shared a lot of things. The same style, the same speech patterns, even the same resemblance. But after O.S.A.A. State Championships in Portland Saturday, they don't need to share a state title. "It's always like a rivalry and a friendship," described Dylan. The competitive pair has been wrestling since they were in 3rd grade and as their own bond has strengthened, so have their take downs. Last weekend, when Dylan won his match in the 160-finals for a state crown; Devan, in the 189-finals followed suit, picking up his first individual state title. "My brother won it so I didn't want to be behind him you know, I wanted to catch up," explained Devan. "We always criticize each other but all in all we love each other," said Dylan. However wrestling together is only half the fun. Like most twins, the old switch-places prank never gets old. The two people they won’t be fooling though are their girlfriends. Their dating twins. |
