Sutherlin loses in semis to La Grande

CORVALLIS, OR - Breann Partney led Le Grande with had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and she was 14-of-14 from the free throw line as the Tigers knocked off previously unbeaten Sutherlin 66-56 in the 4A girls semifinals.

Lauren Mills added 19 points for the Tigers, who led by as many as 14 points.
 
Kayce Mock had 14 points for second-ranked Sutherlin (26-1), the runners-up last year.
 
La Grande defeated Banks in the quarterfinals, while Sutherlin downed Junction City.

The Bulldogs will play Cascade for third place on Friday at 1:30pm.

The Tigers take on Mazama at 6:30pm for the state championship.
