Trumbo homers twice to lead Angels over M's 6-1

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Mark Trumbo homered twice, going 4 for 4 with four RBIs, and Garrett Richards pitched seven innings for his first major league victory, leading the Los Angeles Angels to a 6-1 win over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.
Torii Hunter also went deep to back Richards (1-0), who allowed a run and four hits, walked two and struck out eight against an offense that averaged 9.2 runs over its previous six games - including a 21-8 rout at Texas last Wednesday.
The 24-year-old right-hander allowed only one hit through the first 4 2-3 innings - a leadoff homer by Michael Richards in the third. Garrett Richards was filling in for ace Jered Weaver, who is on the disabled list with a lower back strain.
Blake Beavan (3-5) pitched five innings and gave up six runs on 10 hits in five innings, including all three homers.
