On Tuesday, July 16, from 2 -3 p.m., traditional Celtic Music comes to the Sutherlin Library at 210 E. Central Ave. An Irish "hooley" is planned to for Sutherlin Library’s Summer Reading Program! Join The Celtic Tradition for lively jigs, reels, hornpipes, aires, pub songs & ballads. Based in Eugene and Roseburg, The Celtic Tradition is Linda Danielson (fiddle, vocals), Janet Naylor (harp, vocals) and Joe Ross (mandolin, guitar, concertina, hammered dulcimer, vocals). The trio is always a crowd-pleaser with its great musical variety. This year's theme of the Douglas County Library's Summer Reading Program is "Dig into Reading!" and the performance encourages folks to dig into music, instruments and other cultures.

The performance is also hosted in part by the Douglas County Cultural Coalition. For more info, please call 541-459-9161 (Sutherlin Library) or email rossjoe@hotmail.com.
