Furry Friday Club

Saving Grace is piloting a new program, the Furry Friday Club. This club will feature three hour sessions that provide hands-on, project-based learning for pre-teens and teens. The club will meet during the selected Fridays of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 at Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center. The cost for the pilot program (two sessions) is $25 per student. The cost covers a t-shirt for each student and a light snack during the session. Families are asked to commit to two Furry Fridays (November 1st and November 15th) for the pilot program.

The program is currently only open to 11 – 14 year olds. Based on interest and enrollment, we may extend or add dates and age groups to the Furry Friday Club – so stay posted!

Each session of the Furry Friday Club will focus on the issues surrounding pet overpopulation, careers related to companion animal care, the challenges and responsibilities of responsible pet ownership and compassion towards living things. The aim of the club is to teach students about companion animal welfare and help students become better ‘pet parents’.
