Douglas County Weed Advisory Board, the OSU Extension Service, and area sponsors are working together to provide the annual Douglas County Weed Day on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg, Oregon. This year’s theme is “Weeds: Influence of Weather”. George Taylor of Applied Climate Services, LLC will be a special speaker at the day’s luncheon, “Climate and Weather”. This annual program provides general education on weed control for farms, ranches, homes, woodlots, right-of-ways, non-crop areas; noxious weed control; cooperative control projects; weed identification; pesticide core training; table displays for consultations and information; a special Weed-Evening for discussions on weed control, plus a participant question and answer session.
