Event Description

The Douglas County Museum will proudly welcome author Diane Goeres-Gardner for a book presentation and signing. This special event will mark the release of a new photo history, Images of America: Roseburg, coauthored by Goeres-Gardner and the DC Museum.
The Museum assisted in editing, and provided many of the book’s images from our 25,000+ photo collection. This history of Roseburg is the newest installment of the popular nationwide series, Images of America by Arcadia publishing.
Goeres-Gardner will discuss the process of writing the book, some history of Roseburg, and end with a discussion and book signing. Light refreshments will be available. Goeres-Gardner is also the author of Necktie Parties: A History of Legal Executions in Oregon 1851-1905, and Murder, Morality, and Madness: Women Criminals in Early Oregon.
