Wednesday I stopped at the fish ladder, just to view the high water. I was shocked to see this little critter rolling around on the rocks below. The otter stayed for about ten minutes, scratching his back. As it kept staring at me, I felt like I was intruding on some private time. However, then it turned around and waved. I swear it waved at me!! When it was all done, it jumped back into the muddy water and swam away. What an awesome wildlife encounter.
