Storm on our Mountain

During the Sunday Storm,just east of Roseburg, our trees lost alot of branches and blew the roof off our shed. Very scary moments when the wind seemed to be coming from the east, south and west all at once.

Why does the news start 3 to 4 minutes before the hour? I always watch the news, but I also watch other programs prior and I have to not review the end of those programs if I want to see the begining of the news. What's up?
