This was in my back yard...does anybody know what kind of snake it is?
This thing was coiled up by my hose in the backyard. Scared me to death! What is it!

Yes, it is a King Snake and very desirable to have around.

No, king snakes are not poisonous. They help control rodents and eat other snakes too.
