Last Halloween, Marcia and Kim Miller wanted to enter an online pet costume contest sponsored by a national magazine. After coming up with theme, pressed their mother into service as seamstress, they both worked on completing the scene by designing and coloring the background. When the time came to put the costume on Harvey, the brindle colored dachshund, they thought they would have a struggle on their hands. Much to their delight, the little dog actually enjoyed wearing the costume and proudly posed patiently for the camera. He was most dismayed when it came time to take it off. For one and a half days, Harvey received enough votes to stay in the #1 position, but did not win the contest.
