Glide added 14 new names to the Veteran's Memorial in a packed house Memorial Day ceremony. Colors were presented and retired by BSA Troop 112 and the Glide High School band played the Star Spangled Banner. On the 150th Anniversary year of Taps, Tony DeAgnes brought many to tears with the breath taking sound of Taps being played through a bugle, while Glide High School student Sarah Engle sang "America the Beautiful". Pastor Mike Miller of the Glide Baptist Church gave the Invocation and Benediction. At 10:30 a.m. the thunder vibrated through the overcast sky as an F-15 Eagle did a flyover. All in all it was a wonderful day to commemorate the day set aside to remember our Veteran's who died while in service. Thank you to all Veteran's and Serviceman for your unselfish service to our country.
