The majestic Scott Mountain, referred to many as Mt. Scott can be seen from many parts of Central Douglas County but it's most beautiful and full view can be found in Glide. I grew up seeing this mountain from my home and school and have watched it change many times over the years as it was slowly logged off, replanted and now covered once again in timber. I have hunted the mountain and viewed it from all sides and have played in the snow that often blankets the mountain. You cannot drive through Glide without marveling at this mountains majestic beauty against the sky unless of course it is camouflaged by fog. We live in an awesome and beautiful area.
