Car show offers fun for all

Rockin' The 50's With A Twist

Graffiti week 2013 kicked off strong with car shows and cruises all over Roseburg and surrounding areas. One of those places was the Roseburg Tire Pros on Diamond Lake Boulevard.
Walking through the store, the checkered flooring and the pool table in the showroom gives you a taste of the 50's era. But the real fun awaits outside the doors of the store this evening.
Manager Rick Petty and his wife Susan made their way through the crowds, laughing, visiting and greeting guests with their friendly southern style hospitality and making certain everyone was having a good time. The smell of Barbeque filled the air and classic cars filled the parking lot as Sutherlin's band "Flashbak" sang the music of yesteryear. Guests were seen rockin' to the 50's as they made their own dance floor in the space in front of the band. Some came for the music, some for the food or to swap stories while other simply came out to see the cars. Whatever the reason, everyone seemed to be having a great time just Rockin' to the fifties with a little twist.
Thank you Rick and Susan for showing us a great time this evening.
