Night Club Era Ends In Flames

Chrome To Black

As a child, I remember the "Alley Go-Go" sign across from what was then, "Diamond Lake Bowl" and within time, that sign was replaced with "The Country Palace" sign. The building has stood empty at times and has housed other night clubs such as "Cow Girls", "Buffalo Bills", "The Zoo" and "Chrome". Some businesses caused a little more controversy than others. But the building stands no more. Bypassers slow to view the now blackened Chrome Night Club building, ending a long standing Roseburg building landmark. Reports say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
