Glide Firemen's Pit BBQ & Craft Fair

The Glide Fire Association is having their annual Firemen's Pit Barbecue and Arts and Craft Fair this weekend, Saturday October 19th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday October 20th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bring the whole family and come support this great event, enjoy some delicious food and meet the local Glide EMT's and Firefighters. These volunteers give graciously and unselfishly of their time and talents to serve and protect our wonderful community by providing great fire protection and emergency medical services.

Local artists and crafters will have booths displaying and selling their special and uniquely handcrafted wares. There is truly something there for everyone. This is great opportunity to shop locally for those on your Christmas list. The festivities will include a donation raffle, with the grand prize winner walking away with a ***beautifully handcrafted quilt valued at $800. Raffle tickets are $5 for 11 or $0.50 each.

Raffle drawing will be on Sunday, October 20th at 4:00 pm and you need not be present to win. Glide residents received 11 tickets by mail and need only to fill in your name and phone number and return with your $5.00 donation. Tickets are also available for purchase at the event on both days.

This fun family event is not only for the Glide residents but for all the public to enjoy. Bring the kids down to see the fire truck, have a great meal together and help raise funds for the Glide Rural Volunteer Fire Protection District. All proceeds benefit Glide's all-volunteer fire department.

Volunteers at the event will also be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for Glide's Food Pantry. Thank you in advance for your generous support.
