High Waters

Signs Of The Season's Cycle

River levels are high on the North Umpqua River near Glide. Trees that are generally a fair distance from the shore line at the Colliding Rivers Boat Landing, now sway with the movement of the rushing waters that surrounds them. The blueish green waters of summer and fall have been replaced with shades of murky brown.
In spite of the cycling seasons, there are still remnants of fall that can be found. Driving through the parking lot of Caddock Electronics in Glide and many other areas as well, there are many trees that have yet to shed their beautiful colors. But could this evening's predicted freezing temperatures have some affect on the leaves which are still clinging to the branches? Only time will tell as we enter yet another transition of seasons.
