Woman's Pug's in the Pound

This week two pugs were in the pound waiting to be either adopted or put to sleep. Not an uncommon occurrence, but the way they ended up in the pound is horrible.
Due to failing health, an elderly, ailing woman was forced to find a home for her two pugs. She went looking for a new parent for her "babies" and she found a woman who seemed perfect. The elderly woman even provided the new owner with enough money to feed the dogs for a year, pay for vet visits, and a small stipend just because she was so grateful to have found the right person to take the dogs.
To make a long story short, an acquaintance of the elderly woman was at the pound this week and saw the pugs. He contacted the elderly woman who immediately went and paid to recover her dogs. They had been spayed and/or neutered and were traumatized. She can't keep them but no longer trusts anyone enough to take her small companions.
Senior Services, I do believe, has been notified and maybe the police also. I am not sure how this story will turn out but I think the person who took then dumped the dogs and then kept the money should be prosecuted.

This is a very sad story. But this is not the first time i have seen something similar to this. I seen a story just yesterday on craigslist under the pet section where a pet was recvd and then sold then next week for profit. It is messed up
