The youth of our church had a fundraiser for future trips and camps. They went house to house asking for donations of cans and bottles.

About 10 teens and just as many adults collect, and sorts cans and bottles. It took about 5-1/2 hours to collect and sort this many.

Most of the bags went to the recycler, but some had to be hand-fed through the machines.

It's a nice way to fundraise since many people would just as soon not worry about dealing with turning them in. Most people were happy to help.

It was a dirty job sometime. Some people just pile trash inside the bags along with the bottles. Often there is plenty of liquid still in the containers. We of course wore gloves.

Together they raise over $800 toward future events.
