I was taking pictures of the Umpqua River along Tyee Road where there was a fair amount of ice along the banks, and floating downriver. I was surprised to find that the river ice smelled so much of fish. It's nice to have a new sensory experience at 62 years of age. The river is absolutely stunning today.
